Thanks, I appreciate it! Do you know of any sites or blogs that people can ask about specific Gmat problems or strategies?

@sitting duck
You need books that teaches fundamentals, thus I think any book that covers math and English syllabus is suffice for 390 to 500. I would look out for not making continuous wrong choices (more than wrong answers consecutively can drop your score dramatically) and finishing/attempting all questions in given time.
Both points are very crucial.

Hey,
I am on a budget and had to use only the books avail at the library, how do you feel about the Peterson's books for GMAT prep? I've checked out the "Master the GMAT 2009" I also checked out the McGraw-Hill's GMAT. I'm using them to raise my score from a dreadful 390 up to at least a 500. Ideas? Thoughts? (P.s. this will be my third time taking the Gmat)

needless to say,it's a very nice post and to some extend motivational too.I have really one concern regarding the assumption that has been made here to eat OG11 and Gprep test simulation;If one is aiming above 650 and is in time crunch,will this strategy works as fine as is convinced here?

I really need this reply,if YES,then I would definitely switch my prep to top gear.
