Fall of aim-wsc
May 13, 2009
& there it goes,
the marathon run of aim-wsc on beatthegmat is seemed to be loosing its pace & his overall domination in participation and number of posts among the users at the forums has ended. So far, right from the first month forum started, aim-wsc had highest no. of posts on forum, apart from its founder, Eric Bahn; and it was the case till yesterday!! Today, a new and very enthusiastic user called cramya has 2nd highest number of posts on the forum.
I dont think aim-wsc could keep up with that pace and “regain” #2 position. There must be plenty of reasons for that. Surely he doesn’t post as much these days so the other moderators. there could be loss of interest. But have all moderators and site admins lost their interest in this community project? Is the founder not motivating (enough?) its team? Does he lack leadership skill? or himself lost his interest? that’s surely is not the case ‘coz we see many interesting developments at beatthegmat. Maybe, BTG is not the priority project of its founder and there’s trouble in allotting time for BTG; maybe, maybes. But still BTG is going well, at least that’s what the founder claims.
As you can guess the article is “tip of iceburg”. & there’s lot, that can be done (and done faster n better) at BTG if the team (including the founder, of course) is serious enough.

Agreed that a lot more could be done, but I disagree if you are implying that the staff and I are not serious about this project. As a staff member, you are aware of the some of the changes we are making on our site. I have a lot of confidence that we are investing in the right things in the moment to help our community in a big way in the future!
